On October 31, 1843, in Gradec, a village between Tetova and Gostivar (today North Macedonia), was born the great warrior for the freedom and independence of Albania, General Mehmet Pasha Dëralla.
He was graduated from the Military Academy in Istanbul and served as a high officer in Iraq, Libya, Syria, and Greece. General Dëralla was fully at the service of the League of Prizren. Later he became one of the initiators and leaders of the League of Peja and Ferizaj Assembly and fought in the anti-Ottoman insurrection in 1910-1912.
General Mehmet Pasha Dëralla was appointed as First Minister of the War of Albania in the Government of Ismail Qemal Bey Vlora. 🙇🏻♂️❤️🇦🇱
